Skill training for disadvantaged youth

Cognizant Foundation in partnership with Aide et Action is setting up and running of one ILEADS (Initiative for Livelihood education and development) Center at Mysuru, Karnataka which provides vocational skills training and placement assistance to disadvantaged youth in surrounding areas.  The Centre will provide training in IT enabled services, Customer relations management, Hospitality and Automobile, in the age group between 18-32 years, annually.

Every year the Mysore Center is set to train 300 disadvantaged youth and make them job ready and gainfully employed.

On the 10th June 2015, iLEAD Mysuru Center was inaugurated in the presence of Ms. M. Mahadevamma, Deputy Mayor, Mysuru City Corporation, Mr. Purushottam, Corporator, Mysuru city corporation, Mr. Ramaswamy, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee Member Mysore and Ms.Sivagami, Regional Manager, Aide et Action.

Aide et Action, in India, is working across 18 States and 1 Union Territory with the help of 36 local level NGO partners, 13 directly implemented projects on various issues of development and more than 100 skill based training centres across the country for livelihood generation.
