Youth Employability Programme for the underprivileged at Chennai

Asha Deep Foundation (ADF) is a non-profit organization carrying out development activities for the last 32 years in Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. ADF’s works towards the holistic development of the community with a special focus on Education, Health and Skill Training through various welfare projects.

ADF runs the Youth Employability Programme (YEP) – a short-term skill training programme for youth from underprivileged communities which caters to young adults aged 18-32 years who have completed 10th/12th Standard of schooling and are unemployed. The youth are trained for three months in Computer skills, Customer service, Hospitality, ITES, English Language and Communication Skills, Financial literacy, Workplace readiness, Personality development and life skills. After training candidates are placed in jobs with salaries up to  Rs. 20,000/-. ADF has its YEP training centers in Delhi, Chennai, Pune and Mumbai.

CF recently extended support to ADF to run two of their centers in Chennai at Keelkattalai and Medavakkam, where 900 youth get trained over a three year period.
